
Meet Marilee
Marilee is a trusted business advisor, author, international speaker and entrepreneur. She brings valuable perspective, insights and tools to individuals and organizations across the U.S. and beyond. She has been quoted in dozens of national publications including The Wall St. Journal, The New York Times and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. She has also been interviewed on The CBS Early Show, and by the LA radio affiliate of NPW.
In addition to her consulting and speaking, Marilee is the author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Long-term Care Planning," and is currently writing a new business book entitled "Sweet Spot”.
Marilee has a passion for discernment and management, for words and communication. These are reflected in her business, and the services it offers. Every facet helps individuals and organizations identify and clearly focus on what really matters.

Marilee graduated from Boston University with a finance degree, where her favorite courses were Economic Geography, Real Estate Finance, Linear Programming, and Ballroom Dance. She spent several years as a financial analyst at large high tech and computer companies. Then, she moved to the insurance industry where she worked for several years before being recruited by a large bank to work in its insurance start-up, immediately before she struck out on her own.
She has held board and leadership positions in several organizations, including the Women’s City Club of Boston, and the National Speakers Association (NSA). She has served as president of NSA’s New England chapter. She was named Chapter Member of the Year in both 2004 & 2017, received The President’s Achievement Award in 2012, and, in 2017, was honored to be awarded Board Member of the Year.
Marilee is a community garden enthusiast, lifelong runner, badminton player, and certified SCUBA diver. She’s proud mom to 2 adult sons and one 9.2-lb. rescue chihuahua named Redford.
